Ingredients

4 slices of artisan sourdough bread

1 ball of fresh burrata cheese

2 ripe heirloom tomatoes, sliced

Fresh basil leaves, torn

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Red pepper flakes for a kick

Instructions

Begin by toasting the slices of sourdough bread until they are golden and crisp. You can do this in a toaster or on a grill for a smoky flavor.

While the bread is toasting, slice the heirloom tomatoes and set them aside.

Once the bread is ready, drizzle the olive oil over each slice while it's still warm, allowing it to soak in a bit.

Gently open the burrata cheese, letting the creamy center spill out. You can either place the whole burrata on one slice or break it apart and distribute it among the slices.

Layer the sliced tomatoes over the burrata on each piece of toast.

Sprinkle torn basil leaves on top of the tomatoes for freshness.

Drizzle a generous amount of balsamic glaze over everything and season with salt and pepper to taste. If you're feeling adventurous, sprinkle some red pepper flakes for extra heat.

Serve immediately while still warm for the best flavor and texture.

Prep Time: 10 mins | Total Time: 15 mins | Servings: 4 slices

                    - Presentation Tips: Arrange the toasts on a rustic wooden board, garnishing with additional basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for an appetizing look.
