Ingredients

1 can of crescent roll dough (8 oz)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)

1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening, if using fresh blueberries)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Optional: Zest of 1 lemon (for added flavor)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. If using lemon zest, mix it in for an extra citrusy touch.

Add Blueberries: If using fresh blueberries, sprinkle the cornstarch over them and gently toss to coat. This helps to thickening the filling during baking. Fold the blueberries into the cream cheese mixture gently.

Roll Out Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a floured surface. Separate the individual triangles along the perforations.

Fill Each Crescent: Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the cream cheese and blueberry mixture at the wider end of each triangle. Carefully roll the crescent away from the wide end, tucking the filling in as you go to form a log shape.

Brush and Bake: Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden-brown.

Cool and Dust: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Dust the pulled apart crescents with powdered sugar before serving.

Serve: Enjoy your Blueberry Cheesecake Crescent Rolls warm, or at room temperature, with a side of fresh blueberries or whipped cream if desired.
