Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 teaspoon sriracha (optional for extra heat)

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded red cabbage

1 avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Pour in the buttermilk and let it marinate for about 30 minutes to enhance tenderness.

Prepare the Breading: In another bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Coat the Shrimp: Remove shrimp from the buttermilk and letting excess drip off, dredge them in the seasoned flour mixture until well coated. Shake off excess.

Fry the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded shrimp in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha (if using). Adjust flavors to taste.

Assemble the Tacos: Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave. On each tortilla, layer a handful of shredded cabbage, topped with several pieces of fried shrimp, a slice of avocado, and a drizzle of the bang bang sauce.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped cilantro over each taco and serve with lime wedges on the side for a burst of freshness.

                Prep Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the tacos on a colorful platter, adding extra lime wedges and a small bowl of the bang bang sauce for dipping on the side. Garnish with lime slices and cilantro for a vibrant look. Enjoy!
