2 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, grated

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

30 wonton wrappers

For the Soup:

6 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

1 cup bok choy, chopped

1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced (or any mushrooms of your choice)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Chili oil, for serving (optional)

Instructions

Make the Wonton Filling:

    - In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and white pepper. Mix until well combined.

      Prepare the Wontons:

        - Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold over to form a triangle, sealing the edges tightly. Then bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

          Prepare the Broth:

            - In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and season with salt and pepper.

              Cook the Wontons:

                - Gently drop the wontons into the boiling broth. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until they float and are cooked through.

                  Add Vegetables:

                    - Add the bok choy and shiitake mushrooms to the pot. Let simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

                      Serve:

                        - Ladle the soup into bowls, garnish with fresh cilantro, and drizzle with chili oil if desired. Enjoy your warm and comforting wonton soup!
