Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground turkey, breadcrumbs, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix them together using your hands or a spoon until well combined.
Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. Smooth the top with the back of a spatula for even cooking.
In a separate bowl, mix together ¾ cup of the ketchup and brown sugar. This will serve as your glaze.
Brush half of the ketchup glaze over the top of the meatloaf. Reserve the remaining glaze for later.
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, remove the meatloaf from the oven and brush the remaining ketchup glaze on top. Return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Once cooked through, let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices and make it easier to cut.
Serve warm with your favorite sides, drizzling any extra glaze over the slices if desired.
Notes
Serve on a rustic wooden board, garnished with fresh parsley leaves.
