Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

1 cup beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 cup sour cream

2 cups egg noodles

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Sauté the Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onions become translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Then add the sliced mushrooms and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender.

Build the Sauce: Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and let the mixture come to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld together.

Add the Creaminess: Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the sour cream until fully incorporated. Let it heat through for about 2 minutes, but do not let it boil to avoid curdling.

Combine and Serve: Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles until they are well coated with the stroganoff sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm, and enjoy your delicious and unique ground beef stroganoff!
