Ingredients

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar

4 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour

1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup (120g) chopped nuts (optional)

1 cup (125g) cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch (23x33 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined (do not overmix).

Add Chocolate Chips & Nuts: Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) until evenly distributed.

Layer with Cookie Dough: Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. Using your fingers or a spatula, flatten the cookie dough into a single layer on top of the brownie batter. Carefully spread the remaining brownie batter over the cookie layer, ensuring full coverage.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (avoid overbaking for maximum fudginess).

Cool and Slice: Allow the browkies to cool in the pan for at least 15-20 minutes. Lift out by the edges of the parchment paper (if using) and let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into squares.

Enjoy: Serve warm or at room temperature. Indulge in the scrumptious combination of fudgy brownies and chewy cookies!
