Ingredients

1 pound ground pork (or chicken)

4 cups coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)

3 green onions, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon hoisin sauce (optional)

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Meat: In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork (or chicken) and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Flavor It Up: Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the Veggies: Toss in the coleslaw mix and chopped green onions. Stir until the vegetables are slightly softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Season the Mixture: Pour the soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce (if using), and crushed red pepper flakes into the skillet. Mix well, ensuring all ingredients are coated in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Finish Cooking: Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until all ingredients are well combined and heated through.

Serve: Remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro if desired. Serve hot in bowls, and enjoy your delicious egg roll in a bowl!
