Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast

¼ cup sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup warm milk (around 110°F)

2 large eggs

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

½ cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, eggs, and melted butter until combined.

Pour the liquid mixture into the dry mixture. Stir until a dough begins to form.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the cinnamon-sugar mixture by mixing together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release air. Roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 18x12 inches).

Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the rolled dough, leaving a little space around the edges.

Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seams to seal it.

Cut the log into 1-inch thick slices and place them in a greased baking dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while letting the slices rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Once the cinnamon bread is out of the oven, let it cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.
