Ingredients

2 tablespoons Thai tea leaves

2 cups water

1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup evaporated milk

1-2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

Optional: ice cubes for iced Thai tea

Optional: whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

Boil Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Brew Tea: Once the water is boiling, remove from heat and add the Thai tea leaves. Let it steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Strain the Tea: Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea leaves out into a heatproof container. Make sure to press the leaves to extract as much flavor as possible.

Sweeten the Tea: While the tea is still warm, stir in the sugar until dissolved, followed by the sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk. Mix well until fully combined.

Chill (Optional): If you prefer iced Thai tea, let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. For immediate serving, pour over ice cubes in a glass.

Serve: Pour the tea into cups or tall glasses. If desired, top with a dollop of whipped cream for a creamy finish.

Garnish (Optional): You can also garnish with a sprinkle of star anis or a cinnamon stick for an extra touch.
