Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

¾ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (in oil, drained)

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Black pepper to taste

Instructions

In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water and sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.

Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, fresh basil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper to the mixture.

Stir everything together until a dough forms. If the mixture is too sticky, add a little extra flour, a tablespoon at a time, until you achieve a workable consistency.

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.

Cover the loaf with a cloth and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.

Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped and has a golden-brown crust.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 12 slices

                          - Presentation Tips: Slice the bread and serve warm with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for an appealing finish.
