Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

½ cup milk, warmed

⅓ cup sugar

1 large egg

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp salt

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup strawberries, diced

¼ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp cornstarch

½ tsp cinnamon

Extra melted butter for brushing

Instructions

Prepare Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

Mix Ingredients: Add the melted butter, egg, salt, and 1 cup of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix well until combined, then gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.

Knead Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare Filling: In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch until smooth. Gently fold in the diced strawberries. Set aside.

Roll Out Dough: Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.

Spread Filling: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border on the edges.

Roll and Cut: Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Brush with Butter: Once the second rise is done, brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool Before Glazing: Allow rolls to cool for about 10 minutes before adding glaze.

Make Glaze: Mix together powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl to form a glaze. Drizzle over the warm rolls.

                              Prep Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 12
