Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 red onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

4 hoagie rolls

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once heated, add the sliced green bell pepper, red onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Cook the Steak: In the same skillet, increase the heat to high. Add the marinated flank steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned and cooked to your liking. If using hot sauce, add it to the steak for extra flavor and toss to combine.

Combine Ingredients: Once the steak is cooked, return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet. Toss everything together until heated through and well combined.

Assemble the Sandwich: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut open the hoagie rolls, being careful not to cut all the way through. Place the roll halves on a baking sheet.

Add Filling: Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture generously onto each roll. Top each filled sandwich with shredded provolone cheese.

Melt the Cheese: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and melted.

Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot with a side of chips or a fresh salad.
