Ingredients

8 oz smoked salmon, thinly sliced

1/2 cup capers, drained

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Sea salt, for garnish

Microgreens or edible flowers, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Capers: Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Toss the drained capers in flour until coated lightly, then add them to the skillet once the oil is hot. Fry the capers for 2-3 minutes, or until they become crispy and golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Plate the Salmon: On a large serving platter, elegantly arrange the smoked salmon slices in a circular pattern, overlapping slightly to create a beautiful presentation.

Add Herbal Touch: In a small bowl, mix together the chopped dill, chives, and parsley. Sprinkle half of the herb mixture evenly over the smoked salmon.

Dress the Dish: Drizzle the lemon juice over the entire platter. Season with freshly cracked black pepper and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors.

Top and Garnish: Scatter the crispy fried capers atop the salmon, then finish with the remaining herbs. If desired, add microgreens or edible flowers for a burst of color and freshness.

Serve: Serve immediately as an appetizer or light meal, allowing guests to savor the delicate flavors of the smoked salmon and the crunch of the capers.
