Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork

½ cup breadcrumbs

¼ cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon allspice

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cups beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and pork with breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, milk, egg, thyme, allspice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, cooking until browned on all sides (about 5-7 minutes). Remove meatballs and set aside.

In the same skillet, add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry and stir it into the broth. Let simmer for another 2-3 minutes to thicken.

Return the browned meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with chopped parsley.

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve meatballs over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes or egg noodles, drizzling some of the flavorful broth over the top, and add a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a pop of color.
