Ingredients

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel), drained

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Cooking spray (for greasing)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with cooking spray.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, drained diced tomatoes with green chilies, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix until well blended.

On a clean surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.

Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.

Roll each crescent from the wide end to the pointed end, tucking in the sides as you roll to secure the filling inside. Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet.

Once all the crescents are rolled and placed on the baking sheet, sprinkle the tops with shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
