Ingredients

1 lb spicy breakfast sausage

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up into small pieces until fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.

Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well incorporated.

Prepare Crescents: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface, separating it into triangles.

Fill Crescents: Spoon a generous amount of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the point, pinching the ends to seal.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. If desired, garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
