Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. This helps them sear better. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Make the Garlic Rosemary Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and lemon zest (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated. Set aside.

Sear the Pork Chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should be 145°F).

Add the Butter: Reduce the heat to low and add the garlic rosemary butter to the pan. Spoon the melting butter over the pork chops for about 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Rest and Serve: Transfer the pork chops to a plate and cover loosely with foil. Let them rest for about 5 minutes. Serve garnished with fresh rosemary sprigs and lemon wedges on the side.
