Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

4 hamburger buns

1 cup crispy fried onion strings

1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1 large avocado, sliced

Optional: Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Patties: In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into 4 equal patties, making a small indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium, or until desired doneness is achieved. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Toast the Buns: While the patties are cooking, place the hamburger buns cut-side down on the grill or in a separate pan to toast until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

        Assemble the Burger:

          - Start with the bottom bun, add the cheesy beef patty, and generously pour BBQ sauce over it.

            - Top with crispy fried onion strings and avocado slices.

              - If desired, add fresh lettuce, tomato, and pickles before finishing with the top bun.

Serve: Serve immediately, accompanied by extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping, and enjoy!
