Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 eggs

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Using your hands, form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside.

While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.

Once the meatballs are finished baking, gently transfer them to the saucepan and simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes to soak up the sauce.

Remove from heat and let them cool slightly before serving.

Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
