4 bone-in chicken thighs, skin-on

1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

1 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk and ranch seasoning mix to create a marinade. Whisk until fully blended.

    Place the chicken thighs in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the buttermilk mixture over the top. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight for more flavor).

      Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

        Remove the chicken from the marinade and allow any excess buttermilk to drip off. Discard the marinade.

          In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to create a spice rub.

            Rub the spice mixture generously over each chicken thigh, making sure to get some underneath the skin for extra flavor.

              Arrange the chicken thighs, skin side up, on a lined baking sheet.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). For extra crispiness, broil the thighs for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.

                  Once done, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.

                    Serve garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges on the side for an added zesty kick.
