4 slices of bread (your choice: sourdough, white, or whole grain)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or any desired toppings like olives, bell peppers, or mushrooms)

1/4 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the Bread: Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side, sprinkle a little garlic powder and Italian seasoning for added flavor.

    Assemble the Sandwich: On the non-buttered side of two slices, layer a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese. Arrange the pepperoni slices on top, followed by a spoonful of pizza sauce. Add some more mozzarella cheese on top to ensure the sandwich sticks together when grilling.

      Top it Off: Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, buttered side facing out, creating two sandwiches.

        Heat the Pan: Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the assembled sandwiches in the pan.

          Grill: Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwiches and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes on the other side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
