Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)

1 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cups provolone cheese, shredded

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Sauté Vegetables: Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, approximately 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the cooked pasta, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Add Cheese: Remove the skillet from heat and fold in 1 cup of the shredded provolone cheese, allowing it to melt into the mixture.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the Philly cheesesteak mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of provolone cheese over the top of the casserole.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
