Ingredients

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 cup white chocolate chips

½ teaspoon peppermint extract

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 drops of green food coloring (optional)

½ cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

Melt the Semi-Sweet Chocolate: In a medium saucepan, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over medium-low, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.

Add Flavor: Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. If desired, add a couple of drops of green food coloring for a festive touch.

Pour and Set: Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with half of the crushed peppermint candies, pressing them lightly into the fudge. Refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes to set.

Melt the White Chocolate: In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate chips using the same method as before. Once melted, pour it over the set semi-sweet fudge layer.

Finish with Peppermint: Sprinkle the remaining crushed peppermint candies on top of the white chocolate layer, gently pressing them in to adhere.

Chill Again: Refrigerate for another 1-2 hours until fully set.

Cut and Serve: Once set, use the parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into small squares and serve. Enjoy your delicious peppermint fudge!
