Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 bell pepper (red, yellow, or green), sliced into strips

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon sesame oil

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Green onions, sliced, for garnish

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until the steak is thoroughly coated. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat until shimmering.

Stir-Fry the Beef: Add the marinated steak to the hot pan in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, and toss in the sliced bell pepper, onion, and ginger. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combine and Finish: Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds. Return the cooked beef to the pan, stirring everything together. Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to combine. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.

Serve: Transfer the stir-fry to a serving dish. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
