Ingredients

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, based on preference)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup Bisquick baking mix

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for a spicy kick)

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the breakfast sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, Bisquick mix, and softened cream cheese. Mix well until fully incorporated.

Season: Add the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if desired) to the mixture. Blend thoroughly until all flavors are well combined.

Shape Balls: Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them onto the prepared baking sheet. You can lightly spray your hands with cooking spray to make shaping easier.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm as an appetizer or snack!

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: About 20 sausage balls
