Ingredients

12 oz pappardelle pasta

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, diced

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups marinara sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Stuffed Meatballs:

    - In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, ricotta cheese, diced mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

      Shape the Meatballs:

        - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take a small amount of the meat mixture (about 2 tablespoons) and form it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used, placing the meatballs on a baking sheet.

          Bake the Meatballs:

            - Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) and they are golden brown.

              Cook the Pappardelle:

                - While the meatballs are baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pappardelle pasta and cook according to package instructions (about 6-8 minutes) until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.

                  Combine with Marinara:

                    - In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Pour in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes. Once the meatballs are done baking, carefully add them to the sauce and let them cook together for another 5 minutes for the flavors to meld.

                      Toss Pasta:

                        - Add the cooked pappardelle to the saucepan with the meatballs and sauce. Gently toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

                          Serve:

                            - Plate the pappardelle and meatballs in large bowls, ensuring a good amount of sauce covers the pasta and meatballs. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
