Ingredients

1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups cold milk

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

1 cup gummy worms (for decoration)

Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Crush the Oreos: Place the Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until they are finely crushed. Reserve 1/2 cup of the crushed Oreo for garnishing later.

Mix the Cream Cheese: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Prepare the Pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding mix together for about 2 minutes until it thickens.

Combine Layers: Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until well combined. Then, fold in the chocolate pudding until fully incorporated.

Layer the Cake: In a large serving dish or a trifle bowl, start with a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Then add a layer of the crushed Oreos. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with the cream cheese mixture on top.

Chill the Cake: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld together and to set.

Garnish and Serve: Just before serving, top the cake with the reserved crushed Oreos and decorate with gummy worms for a fun touch. Add fresh mint leaves for an extra pop of color if desired.

                Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes | Servings: 10-12

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the dirt cake in a clear glass dish to showcase the layers, and encourage guests to dig into it with some plastic shovels for a playful touch!
