Ingredients

8 oz. penne pasta

1 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, sliced

1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sirloin steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, until browned but not fully cooked. Remove the steak from the pot and set it aside.

In the same pot, add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 4 minutes until they begin to soften. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Return the cooked steak to the pot with the vegetables. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir in the Italian seasoning and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

Add the penne pasta to the pot, stirring to combine everything. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Once the pasta is cooked, remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the shredded provolone cheese until it melts and creates a creamy sauce. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
