Instructions
In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is fragrant (about 1-2 minutes), being careful not to burn it.
Pour in the vegetable broth and bring it to a simmer.
Add the spaghetti and cherry tomatoes to the pot, stirring to combine.
Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil, grated Parmesan cheese, and lemon zest (if using).
Season with salt and pepper to taste, mixing well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
Notes
Serve garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh basil for a beautiful presentation.
