This recipe stands out with bold flavors and fun twists. It is not your average banana pudding. I use creamy peanut butter to add richness. This gives the pudding a fun, nutty taste. The peanut butter takes it to a new level.

Ingredients

4 ripe bananas, sliced

2 cups vanilla pudding (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup heavy cream, cold

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups Nilla wafers

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup crushed graham crackers (for topping)

Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pudding: If using store-bought vanilla pudding, skip this step. For homemade pudding, combine 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/4 cup of cornstarch in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat while stirring continuously until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Let it cool completely.

Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Layer the Pudding: In a large serving dish or individual cups, start with a layer of vanilla pudding at the base. Top with a layer of sliced bananas and a generous layer of Nilla wafers.

Add Peanut Butter: In a small bowl, mix the creamy peanut butter with a splash of the whipped cream to make it easier to spread. Spoon dollops of the peanut butter mixture over the banana layer.

Continue Layering: Repeat the layers: more pudding, bananas, and Nilla wafers until you reach the top of your dish. Finish with a final layer of whipped cream, spreading it evenly over the top.

Add Toppings: Sprinkle crushed graham crackers generously over the whipped cream layer and garnish with mint leaves for a refreshing touch.

Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.
