Ingredients

1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed (about 36 cookies)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tsp peppermint extract

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup crushed candy canes (for garnish)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely crushed Oreo cookies with softened cream cheese and peppermint extract. Mix thoroughly until well combined and the mixture is smooth.

Using your hands, roll tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should yield about 24 truffles.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted and smooth.

Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate using a fork, ensuring they are fully coated. Let any excess chocolate drip off back into the bowl.

Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle crushed candy canes on top for added festive flair.

For the semi-sweet chocolate topping, melt the chocolate chips in the same way as the white chocolate. Drizzle melted semi-sweet chocolate over the truffles for a beautiful finish.

Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour to allow them to set completely before serving.
