Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) ricotta cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 bag of tortilla chips or crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.

Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, basil, and oregano.

In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and pepper, stirring until combined.

In a 9x13-inch baking dish, start layering your dip: first spread half of the meat mixture evenly across the bottom.

Spoon half of the marinara sauce over the meat layer, followed by dollops of the ricotta mixture.

Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top of the ricotta and add a layer of Parmesan cheese.

Repeat the layering process, using the remaining meat, marinara sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the assembled dip for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 8-10

                      - Serving Suggestion: Serve hot with tortilla chips or slices of crusty bread, garnished with fresh basil leaves for an extra touch of flavor.
