Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80% lean)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch fresh ginger, grated

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)

2 green onions, sliced

1 cup cooked white rice (for serving)

1 cup steamed broccoli florets (for serving)

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes).

Drain excess fat, if necessary, and then add minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and gochujang. Pour this mixture over the browned beef. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Remove from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.

To assemble the bowl, place a serving of the cooked rice at the bottom of a bowl. Top it generously with the Korean ground beef mixture, steamed broccoli, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for garnish.

Serve immediately, and enjoy your delicious Korean Ground Beef Bowl!
