Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

1/4 cup Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices of cheddar cheese

4 burger buns

Lettuce leaves

Sliced tomatoes

Sliced pickles

Optional: crispy bacon strips

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined; avoid overworking the meat.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty (this helps them cook evenly).

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or skillet to prevent sticking.

Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, until browned. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each one. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the burgers reach your desired doneness (160°F for medium).

While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble your burgers: spread some extra Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce on the bottom bun, add a lettuce leaf, followed by the cheesy burger patty, tomato slices, pickles, and crispy bacon if using. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve immediately while hot, with a side of fries or a simple salad.
