Ingredients

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and dried thyme. Whisk until the brown sugar is dissolved and all ingredients are well mixed.

Place the chicken thighs in a large baking dish, skin side up. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. You can let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.

Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the skin is crispy and caramelized. Baste the chicken with the pan juices once halfway through cooking for extra moisture and flavor.

Once done, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute for an even juicier bite.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving. Pair with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or fluffy rice to soak up the delicious juices.
