Ingredients

2 tablespoons dried butterfly pea flowers

1 cup boiling water

1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, coconut, oat, etc.)

2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ice cubes

Lemon slices or edible flowers for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a heatproof container, steep the dried butterfly pea flowers in 1 cup of boiling water for about 10-15 minutes, until the color is vibrant and the infusion is complete. Strain the flowers and set the tea aside to cool.

While the tea is cooling, prepare your milk mixture by combining the milk, honey (or sweetener), and vanilla extract in a separate bowl or container. Whisk or froth until well combined and slightly frothy.

Fill a glass with ice cubes to your desired level. Pour the cooled butterfly pea flower tea over the ice until the glass is halfway full.

Gently pour the milk mixture over the tea, allowing the two layers to create a beautiful ombre effect.

For added flavor and decoration, garnish with lemon slices on the rim of the glass or sprinkle some edible flowers on top.
