Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup water

1 cup walnuts, toasted

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup honey

2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 green onion, finely chopped for garnish

Oil for frying

Instructions

In a bowl, mix together cornstarch, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir in water until a smooth batter forms. Set aside.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

Dip each shrimp into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then gently place them in the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

In a separate skillet, toast the walnuts over low heat until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes, tossing often to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, sweetened condensed milk, and lemon juice until well combined.

In a large bowl, gently mix the fried shrimp with the honey mayo sauce until evenly coated.

Fold in the toasted walnuts for a delightful crunch.

Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions on top.
