Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

4 strips of thick-cut bacon, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Bacon: In a large oven-safe skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set it aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.

Sauté Brussels Sprouts: In the same skillet, add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bacon drippings. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 5 minutes or until they start to brown slightly.

Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, balsamic vinegar, and minced garlic. Pour this mixture over the Brussels sprouts in the skillet.

Combine and Roast: Add the crispy bacon back to the skillet, tossing everything well to coat the Brussels sprouts in the honey glaze. Spread the sprouts evenly across the skillet and transfer it to the oven.

Bake to Perfection: Roast in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized, tossing halfway through to ensure even cooking.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, toss again if necessary, and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your delicious honey-glazed Brussels sprouts!
