Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken thighs (boneless and skinless)

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

5 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Green onions (sliced, for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, chili flakes, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for more flavor).

Preheat the Pan: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off (reserve the marinade for later).

Cook the Chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a plate.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the reserved marinade. Bring to a simmer for about 3-4 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly. Stir continuously to prevent sticking.

Combine and Glaze: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, turning it to coat in the thickened sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, ensuring each piece is well-glazed.

Serve: Slice the chicken if desired and serve it over rice or quinoa. Drizzle additional sauce from the skillet on top. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for a fresh touch.
