1 cup honey

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 large eggs

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup finely chopped apples (about 1 medium apple, peeled)

1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted

1/4 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.

    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the softened butter and honey until well-combined and creamy.

      Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

        In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

          Gradually add the dry ingredients to the honey mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir until just combined.

            Fold in the chopped apples and toasted almond slices into the batter until evenly distributed.

              Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

                Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
