2 slices of whole grain bread

2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

1 ripe banana, sliced

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Dash of salt

Begin by preheating a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

    While the skillet is heating, take one slice of whole grain bread and layer one slice of sharp cheddar cheese on it.

      Arrange the banana slices evenly on top of the cheese, and then drizzle the honey over the bananas. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon for added flavor.

        Top with the second slice of cheddar cheese to sandwich the bananas.

          Place the second slice of whole grain bread on top to complete the sandwich.

            Spread half of the unsalted butter on the top slice of the sandwich. Carefully place the sandwich, butter side down, in the preheated skillet.

              While the sandwich cooks, spread the remaining butter on the top slice. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottom slice is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.

                Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, until it is also golden brown and toasty.

                  Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool slightly on a plate.

                    Slice the sandwich diagonally and serve warm. Optionally, drizzle a little extra honey on top for added sweetness.
