For the Green Beans:

2 tablespoons butter

1 garlic clove, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Brown Gravy:

1/4 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon soy sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Meatloaf:

    - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

      - Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish. Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through and juices run clear.

        Cook the Mashed Potatoes:

          - While the meatloaf is baking, boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

            - Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Cover to keep warm.

              Sauté the Green Beans:

                - In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

                  - Add green beans, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until tender yet crisp. Remove from heat.

                    Make the Brown Gravy:

                      - In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, cornstarch, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Heat over medium heat, whisking until thickened.

                        Assemble the TV Dinner:

                          - When the meatloaf is done, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. On a tray or plate, arrange a slice of meatloaf, a scoop of mashed potatoes, and a serving of green beans. Drizzle brown gravy over the meatloaf and potatoes.

                            Enjoy your servings of nostalgia!
