Ingredients

1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade if preferred)

1 cup of diced cooked chicken or turkey

1 cup of mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

1 cup of cooked potatoes, diced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup of milk

1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter for greasing the pan

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish; optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Crust: Grease a 9-inch pie dish with olive oil or butter. Place the pre-made pie crust into the dish, pressing it against the bottom and sides. Trim any excess crust hanging over the edge.

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken or turkey, mixed vegetables, diced potatoes, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, dried thyme, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are well combined.

Fill the Pie Crust: Pour the filling mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

Bake: Place the assembled pie in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the pie crust is golden brown. You may want to cover the edges of the crust with foil halfway through baking to prevent over-browning.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes. This will help the filling to set a little. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.
