Ingredients

2 cups brewed hibiscus tea, cooled

1 cup fresh pineapple chunks (or frozen)

1 ripe banana, sliced

1 tablespoon honey (or agave syrup)

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ice cubes (optional, if using fresh pineapple)

Instructions

Start by brewing hibiscus tea. Use about 2 teaspoons of dried hibiscus flowers or 2 tea bags steeped in 2 cups of hot water for 10 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.

In a blender, combine the cooled hibiscus tea, pineapple chunks, sliced banana, honey, Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract.

If using fresh pineapple, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender for a chilled smoothie.

Blend all the ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or agave if desired. Blend again to incorporate.

Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and optionally top with a few pineapple chunks or a sprig of mint for garnish.

              Prep Time: 10 min | Total Time: 20 min | Servings: 2
