Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs (oregano, thyme, basil)

Salt and black pepper to taste

4 cloves garlic, minced

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Pork Chops: In a bowl, combine olive oil, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture onto the pork chops ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice (if using). Set aside.

Cook the Pork Chops: Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated pork chops. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, allowing a golden crust to form. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Rest the Chops: Once cooked, transfer the pork chops to a plate and cover with aluminum foil. Let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serve: Drizzle the garlic butter over the rested pork chops. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
