Ingredients

2 lb beef tenderloin roast

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional: fresh sprigs of herbs for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped thyme, rosemary, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until you have a well-blended herb butter.

Pat the beef tenderloin roast dry with paper towels, which helps the seasoning stick better.

Rub the olive oil over the roast and ensure it’s coated evenly.

Take half of the herb butter mixture and generously coat the entire surface of the beef tenderloin, pressing it into the meat. Reserve the other half for later.

Place the roast on a roasting rack in a baking pan to allow for even cooking.

Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C). Adjust cooking time based on your desired doneness.

Remove the beef from the oven and let it rest for at least 10-15 minutes. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

After resting, slice the tenderloin into thick slices and serve with the reserved herb butter melted on top.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 6-8

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the sliced beef on a rustic wooden board or a warm plate, garnished with fresh herb sprigs for an elegant touch. Accompany with seasonal vegetables or a creamy mashed potato for a complete meal.
