Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup diced cooked ham

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly with cooking spray or butter.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced ham until evenly distributed.

Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined; the mixture will be slightly lumpy, and that's okay.

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with any remaining buttermilk.

Spread the biscuit dough evenly in the greased baking dish, and then pour the melted butter evenly over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top for a pop of color.

                  Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 40 min | Servings: 8-10

                    - Presentation Tips: Cut the biscuits into squares and serve warm with a side of honey mustard for dipping or additional melted butter on the side.
