Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

4 oz. cooked ham, diced

4 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded

1 large egg

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases and make it slightly larger.

Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.

In a bowl, combine the diced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, Dijon mustard, chopped chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Place a generous tablespoon of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.

Fold the corners of the pastry towards the center, pinching them together to form a pocket. Ensure the filling is sealed inside.

Beat the additional egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of each pastry to create a golden finish.

Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden and puffed up.

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the pastries on a rustic wooden board lined with parchment paper. Garnish with extra chives and a small bowl of Dijon mustard for dipping on the side. Enjoy warm!
