500g fresh button mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed

4 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Juice of half a lemon

Prep the Mushrooms: In a large bowl, toss the cleaned mushrooms with olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until well coated.

    Sauté: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the mushroom mixture in a single layer. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.

      Add Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the sautéed mushrooms. Mix gently until the cheese melts and coats the mushrooms.

        Finish Up: Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the mushrooms and stir to incorporate. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
